Mr. MacFarlan began working with Oaktree in 2002 and with the European Principal Group since its inception in 2005. His focus is on supporting management in the development and execution of critical business strategies, executive assessment and recruitment, and executive oversight to ensure value creation. Mr. MacFarlan has served as member of the Private Equity Funds Board of Advisors, assisted in the assessment of numerous potential and completed investments, and acts as a key reference for the European Principal Group with existing and potential Limited Partners. Prior thereto, he was Group Vice President/Coalition Chairman with VF Corporation (VFC), a NYSE-traded Fortune 500 company and was a member of the corporation’s management committee. Mr. MacFarlan has served or currently serves on the Board of Directors of: Tumi Luggage, Spirit Airlines, CFG Companies, Tandus Group, Conbipel, Ainscough Crane and Tactical Air Support.
