Director of Business Development and Capture

Pete “Felix” Matisoo

Felix is the Director of Business Development and Capture at Tactical Air Support. Initially founded on the model of the  US Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and US Air Force’s Weapons School, Tactical Air Support is redefining government contracting as a non-traditional defense company focused on value-based, innovative, and technology-driven products and services for the US Armed Forces.

Prior to working at Tactical Air, Felix served 28 years in the US Navy. His numerous assignments included Technical Director for Commander Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVOR), Director of Capabilities and Requirements at US Fleet Forces Command, FA-18 Hornet squadron commander, and two tours as a FA-18 test pilot at the Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake CA.

Felix has more than 4,200 flying hours in the FA-18 and over 45 different aircraft. He was one of the lead developers and test pilots for Tactical Air’s F-5AT aircraft, and currently flies numerous aircraft including the Pilatus PC-12.

Felix, a native of Yorktown, New York, received his BA in Physics from Colgate University in 1988, a MS from the University of Tennessee in 1999, and a MS from Joint Forces Staff College in 2008. He is a distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, Commanding Officer School, and Joint Forces Staff College.
